Real Estate Prelicensing Instructor

Job Description

The Bayonne School of Real Estate is seeking remote and/or onsite licensed NJ Real

Estate Prelicensing instructors to conduct classes remotely and/or onsite. Instructors are responsible for teaching state regulated pre-licensing courses which provide the

education necessary to prepare students for the New Jersey Prelicensing exams. Job

responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conducting live, video instructor led remote and/or onsite training sessions.
  • Delivering required intellectual material for successful completion of the New Jersey Prelicensing courses.
  • Maintaining accurate class attendance records in compliance with state regulations.
  • Preparing and following lesson plans; lead classroom discussions on relevant topics and educate students with regard to real estate principles and practice and mortgage lending principles & practices.
  • Demonstrate excellent teaching skills, effectively manage classroom dynamics, engage students, preserve a positive learning environment and control class at all times.
  • Focus on mentoring and driving student success.
  • Address student questions in class and follow up as requested.
  • Run class time schedule in accordance with established itinerary.
  • Adjust teaching style based on feedback and constructive criticism.
  • Provide appropriate handouts, books, and course material as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication, keep management informed of scheduling, curriculum updates, and classroom changes and potential issues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet with following requirements:

  • Possess an active NJ Real Estate Prelicensing Instructor license.
  • Two (2) years teaching in a profession, trade, or occupation directly related to the subject matter of the course to be taught.
  • Experience levels are defined by NJ state statutory requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and state-specific real estate and/or mortgage lending principles and practices.
  • Ability to conduct presentations.
  • Ability to effectively utilize technology, navigate MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Zoom, Teams or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use online learning and testing tools.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication Skills.
  • Adaptability to new teaching methods and alteration in course materials, as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • May need to lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally (classroom materials).
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Other duties as assigned.
